A group of transports called Canada Unity is making their way to Ottawa this week in protest against COVID-19 mandates.
The convoy is scheduled to stop in Kenora on the night of January 25th and in Thunder Bay the following morning (January 26th) part of a country wide protest.
In a statement Saturday, the Canadian Trucking Alliance said it “does not support and strongly disapproves of any protests on public roadways, highways, and bridges. CTA believes such actions – especially those that interfere with public safety – are not how disagreements with government policies should be expressed”.
Potential travels delays in the region can be expected.
