It’s hard for officials at the Thunder Bay Community Foundation to hide their glee.
Spokesperson Alexandra Calderon explains it’s because of a huge anonymous donation.
She says, “an amazing local family donated $1.26 million to establish an endowment fund that will provide grants.”
The gift helps to boost the foundation bank account to over $13 million.
Calderon says, “they are incredibly excited by this astounding anonymous gift which is going to do great things in the community.”
The foundation uses the interest from their account to make charitable donations.
