Fort Frances/Hammarskjold girls earn first wins at OFSAA curling championships

Two northwestern Ontario high school curling teams have picked up their first wins at the all-Ontario championships in Thunder Bay.

The Fort Frances Muskies girls team, skipped by Aili Chabot, dominated RS McLaughlin Collegiate from Oshawa Thursday morning, winning 15-0.

The Muskies scored points in each of the six ends played, including 5 in the 4th.

The Hammarskjold Vikings girls team, skipped by Maija Kuluski, also won for the first time, defeating York Mills 9-2.

Play continues at the Port Arthur Curling Club.
