The demand on city food banks has not let up during the COVID crisis.
Citing health regulations the Regional Food Distribution Association says anyone who attends cannot be allowed into the building until further notice.
Anyone who goes to a food bank is asked to dress for the weather conditions and to stay 6 feet away from others.
The RFDA says food bank hours have been updated as follows:
Thursday, March 19 – 9:00 am – Redwood Park Food Bank 532 Edward St N
Thursday, March 19 – 1030am – St. Thomas Church Food Cupboard – 1400 Edward St. N – Distribution through the back door.
Friday, March 20 – 9:00am – Location TBD
Monday, March 23 -Time TBD St Thomas Church Food Cupboard, 1400 Edward St S
Tuesday, March 24 – 8:15 am – Current River Churches Food Cupboard – 361 Hodder Ave – distribution through the back door (and every Tuesday ongoing until further notice)
Tuesday, March 24 – 1:00pm-3:00pm – Salvation Army, 545 Cumberland St N
Tuesday, March 24 – 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm – The Gathering Place – 239 Amelia St W (and every Tuesday ongoing until further notice)
