Flood Outlook In Effect

The Lakehead Region Conservation Authority has issued a flood outlook statement for the region which includes Thunder Bay.

You can expect anywhere between 15 and 25 millimeters of precipitation overnight, with accumulation in ditches and low-lying areas a possibility. This combined with the return to below freezing temperatures this weekend could cause icy conditions on the road.

The public is being reminded to exercise caution when out walking or driving.

Parents and caregivers should also keep young children away from all waterways and discuss the dangers of cold water and icy banks.

The Lakehead Region Conservation Authority will continue to update the public with any changes to expected conditions.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
