Firefly Workers Vote To Walk Off Job

Firefly child treatment workers are preparing to walk off the job.
According to Local 702 of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union, 76 per cent of workers at centres across Northwestern Ontario have voted in favour of a strike.
One-third of the 150 workers have been without a wage increase for 12 years.
A strike date will be set, should contract talks with the not-for-profit fail to produce an agreement.
A mediator will join talks on September 22nd.
