Fire departments across the province are still taking the soft-sell approach to new legislation making carbon monoxide detectors mandatory.
The Ontario government passed the bill one year ago.
Regional Fire Chief Warren Brinkman says, for now, homes without CO detectors installed are getting off with a warning.
