Fire Leaves Residents In Cold Briefly

The cause of an early morning fire in the north end has yet to be determined.

Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue says it received a call Sunday morning concerning 283 Pearl Street, and found a number of people already outside when they arrived.

Fire crews add it didn’t take long to put it out in a closet, but they first had difficulty finding it due to the condition of the apartment.

A city bus was used to temporarily house about 20 people left in the cold.
