Finance Minister Rod Phillips is going ahead with an economic statement Wednesday rather than the originally scheduled provincial budget.
Phillips says they want to provide the most up to date and accurate information on this year’s funding.
“We have to make sure that our partners, municipalities, hospitals, school boards, know the money that’s going to be transferred this year. We also have committed to having a full budget by mid-November,” Phillips said.
The Finance Minister adds multi-year funding won’t be unveiled by the provincial government until the COVID-19 pandemic is under control.
