Federal Emergency Wage Subsidy Extended

The federal government is extending the emergency wage subsidy beyond June.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says they will be there for businesses hit hard by COVID-19.
“To help you keep your employees on the payroll, so fill out the application on Canada.ca, if you haven’t already, and if you had to let people go, try and bring them back,” Trudeau said.
The Prime Minister says they will provide more details about the program’s extension next week.
Trudeau also highlighted what the federal government has done to help Indigenous communities and seniors during the pandemic.
