Farewell Mr. Money

News came in today that singer/saxophonist/ex-police officer Eddie Money has passed away at the age of 70.

Money, who had numerous health issues in recent years, revealed in August that he was battling Stage 4 Esophageal Cancer on a promo for ‘Real Money’ a reality show about his life.

Eddie Money released 11 albums, 4 of which went platinum and 2 others went gold. His hits included ‘Two Tickets To Paradise’, ‘Take Me Home Tonight’, ‘Peace In Our Time’ and ‘Walk On Water’.

We here at 99.9 The Bay would like to express our condolences to his family and his fans. He will be missed but his memory will live on with the incredible music he has left us with.

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
