Thunder Bay is soaking up the Scotties Tournament of Hearts action as the curling event is set to transition to playoff action.
Thursday is the final day of regular action before the playoffs start on Friday.
Northwestern Ontario skipped by Krista McCarville has fallen short of making the playoffs but that hasn’t dampened fans’ enjoyment.
“It’s fantastic, a lot of skill, a lot of fantastic shots, I’ve been here all week its been great,” said a fan entering Fort William Gardens.
Fans from all over the country are in town to enjoy the event.
“It’s been an amazing experience,” said another fan in attendance. “I’m here with my mother and my grandmother and just sharing that experience with them has made life so much brighter.”
The playoffs are three days long including the championship draw on Sunday.
