A Thunder Bay tradition since 1910, this event stands as Canada’s longest-running road race. Now celebrating the 90th running, this legendary event brings together competitive athletes, community runners, and enthusiastic spectators on Victoria Day.
Participants can take on the historic ten-mile course as individual runners or teams of 5 runners for the popular relay division, making the race accessible to a wide range of abilities and goals. New for 2026, the event proudly introduces para athlete categories, expanding its commitment to inclusivity and ensuring even more athletes can run the legend.
Whether your racing, cheering, or simply soaking in the excitement, the Fire Fighters Ten Mile Road Race offers a vibrant blend of endurance, community pride, and Thunder Bay spirit. Spectators are warmly welcomed to line the route, cheer on their favorite runners, and celebrate this milestone year.
