Evacuees Expected To Leave Thunder Bay

You might see people from Red Lake leaving Thunder Bay today.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry said Sunday the forest fire near the town was under control, and as of last night it is still at 552 hectares.

Fire officials in Thunder Bay have not given us an idea of when people are leaving.

However, the MNRF adds another fire, less than a hectare, started about 50kms southeast of Red Lake, it is not under control.
