ER Funding For The City

Thunder Bay is getting its share of the $16million from the provincial government which is designed to improve emergency room care.

The city is to receive just over $220,000 to help patients get quicker access to the ER, all in the name of reducing emergency wait times.

The province says dedicated nurses will work exclusively on lower priority patients from ambulances, allowing paramedics to respond to other 9-1-1 calls.
