EMS Gets Four New Ambulances

Four new ambulances have been approved for local paramedics.

Superior North Emergency Medical Services spokesperson Ernie Kadikoff indicates the four were needed in order to replace some older vehicles.

The four were needed not only to replace some aging vehicles, but to help when an extra shift is added in Thunder Bay this year.

The new ambulances are expected to be in service by the fall and keeps 38 vehicles in the EMS fleet.
