There will be a national test of the emergency alert system today.
It will be heard at 2:55 this afternoon on 99.9 The Bay, on television, and on your cellphone.
It is part of a regular test of the system which will be used to alert you if there is a real local emergency.
The messages will be identified as test alerts and you will not be required to do anything.
