Easter Message Is To Stay Home

Health officials are asking you not to go visiting today.

The Medical Officer of Health for the Thunder Bay District Health Unit Dr. Janet DeMille is urging you to keep Easter gatherings to household members only.

“I know it’s a time that we normally want to gather together but doing that at this time really could lead to the further spread of the virus,” says DeMille.

The health official encourages meeting with family or friends over the Internet, “Or deferring your holiday celebrations to a later date when we have a lot lower cases numbers here…that is coming.”
