DSSAB Gets Cash From Ontario

Ontario intends to spend almost 600-million dollars to combat homelessness.

The money will go to municipalities to fund strategies that meets their needs.

It could include new emergency shelters, emergency financial assistance programs and other support services such as outreach initiatives, food banks and transportation needs.

Thunder Bay’s District Social Services Board is getting 5.4 million dollars over two years.
