Dryden to host event for young francophones

The Association des Francophones du Nord-Ouest de l’Ontario (AFNOO) is hosting a free event for young francophones in Dryden.

The event will be open to youth between the ages of 14 and 20 in the region.

AFNOO was able to set up the event thanks to a grant worth more than $34,000 from the Ontario government’s Francophone Community Grants Program.

Taking place on the weekend of February 7 and 8 at Dryden’s École catholique de l’Enfant-Jésus, the event will offer French-language events and programming for attendees.

Participants will be able to join in on social activities, engage in discussions about living as a francophone, and “celebrate the richness of the French language,” according to AFNOO.

Those interested can register for the event through AFNOO.
