Popular Drive-By Drag Begins Tonight

Thunder Pride is getting creative with its physical distancing activities.

The organization has sold out tonight’s Drive-By Drag performances by local queens and kings.

“This is the one opportunity for us to get out and bring some joy to the neighbourhoods and to people from a socially distanced available way from their yard or their driveway,” Chair Jason Veltri said.

Proceeds from tonight’s and next weekend’s performances will go towards Roots to Harvest.

Roots spokesperson Erin Beagle said they are touched Thunder Pride has decided to donate proceeds from the shows.

“We’ve always had tons of respect and appreciation for the work that they do for our community, and they have been supportive of the work we are doing during COVID,” Beagle said.
