Double Digit Active Cases In The District

A pair of new COVID-19 cases in the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

Officials indicate that the individuals picked up the virus through travel outside of Northwestern Ontario.

There are ten active cases.

In Ontario 656 new COVID-19 cases confirmed with 397 were from those who are unvaccinated and with 55 people, the vaccination status was unknown.

On the vaccination front, 73.6 per cent of those 12 and older have had both doses while 81.6 per cent of the eligible population have had a least one shot of an approved vaccine.

The provincial numbers, which are calculated in a different way, show the one dose population is 87.6 per cent while those with two doses is 81.6 per cent.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
