Health organizations are calling for the passage of a bill that would restrict unhealthy food and beverages from being marketed to kids.
Bill S-228 is expected to come up for a final vote soon.
But some Senators want it sent back to committee for further study because of industry concerns.
The Heart and Stroke Foundation believes the vote is intentionally being delayed.
It says if it goes back to committee, that will essentially kill the bill with the upcoming federal election.
