City Council will take a look at pay increases for Thunder Bay councillors at their next meeting.
They’ll examine the motion on Monday to decide whether to rubber stamp a hike just months before the municipal election.
The total financial impact for the recommended change would be $12,730, which was been included in the 2022 budget.
A report from city staff on March 28th, showed in 2021, the base salary for a councillor was $33,589 which included a car allowance of $2,750.
The rate of inflation in Thunder Bay was 2.35 per cent in 2021.
