Dining In The Dark Sets $20,000 Goal

An unusual dining experience awaits patrons at the Chanterelle on Park Avenue this week.

Dining in the Dark is back for its 5th year in support of the local CNIB.

People who attend are blindfolded and eat a mystery dinner.

Spokesperson Kelly Rooney tells us the money that’s raised will go towards one of their new programs to provide technology to their clients.

“It’s really important for people who are blind or partially-sighted to have the opportunity to tap into technology,” she notes. “Using iPads and iPhones and smart phones can really change the lives of our clients.”

The fundraising goal for this Friday’s event is $20,000.
