Did you feel more “patriotic” this Canada Day?

Driving around town over the past couple of weeks, I noticed quite a few Canada flags displayed in home windows / lawns, and even on cars / trucks. Did you notice that too?

With “Canada Day 2025” now in the books, the question is: “did you feel more patriotic this year, vs other years”? Every July 1st, it usually drives a huge surge of patriotism. BUT, this year just felt different. Agree? Disagree? The huge surge in keeping a united front, might have to do with the fact that for the past 7 or 8 months, we’ve been dealing with a tariff war with the U.S. Dealing with U.S President Trump’s comments about “Canada becoming the 51st state” (although, this seems to have been settling down now).

If you’re feeling a ‘little more patriotic this year’ – you’re definitely not alone.
