Dew Drop Inn Sees Success With Take Out Lunch

Thunder Bay’s Dew Drop Inn has been providing our vulnerable population with take-home lunches for three weeks now and have seen great success.

Officials say since the pandemic hit they’ve handed out 6,222 lunches.

That’s almost a thousand more than what was handed out in the same time frame in 2019.

The local charity says about 40% of lunch patrons were seniors but they see very few of them in their line ups now.

The seniors may be absent but officials say they’ve been replaced by those who are struggling to make ends meet after being laid off.
