Deciding Your Pet’s Name

Do you own a pet? How did you come up with their name? Was it something you already decided on or got to know their personality a little bit before deciding? I was reading this story today about a guy who wanted to give his dog a human name (his wife didn’t approve) so they decided to go with something else but, basically he wanted to see people’s reactions when he called out for his dog named Chad which I think would be pretty funny. Do you usually call your pet by their name or do you have some nicknames that you usually call them as well? My bunny’s name is Mochita but I usually call her “Mochi” “Bun Bun” or “Shnew”
