Danny’s Goatee Meets Its Match

In a shocking turn of events that has rocked one bathroom in Thunder Bay, I suffered a tragic grooming mishap — the accidental and catastrophic removal of my beloved goatee.

For over twenty years, the goatee was a loyal companion. A chin‑warming confidant. A facial‑hair friend through thick and thin. But like many great stories, this one ends with a single bad decision and an old shaver hiding in a drawer like a villain waiting for its moment.

The incident happened during my routine weekly trim. Confident. Relaxed. Unaware of the danger lurking in the adjustable guard….I didn’t bother to check.

“One stroke….just one. And suddenly I’m staring at a bare chin I haven’t seen since dial‑up internet.” (LOL)

With the damage done, I made the only choice I could: shave the rest off. Clean. Smooth. Vulnerable. A chin exposed to the elements for the first time in a long time.

Naturally, I talked about it on Mornings In The Bay.  Lots of texts came in – and the #1 question:  What does your wife think?

So…I called her.  Here’s the verdict:
