Police report it happened Wednesday afternoon around 2 o’clock on West Arthur Street after complaints of a car going at a high rate of speed and into oncoming traffic.

Police say the vehicle the man was driving was stopped at Mountdale and Arthur where the driver was held until police arrived.

A 57 year old man has been charged with a drunk driving related offences.

His vehicle was towed away and the man was released on a promise to appear in court at a later date.
