School employees who are part of the Canadian Union of Public Employees plan to walk off the job Monday.
They began a work to rule campaign across the province this week.
CUPE says school boards are using that job action as an excuse to eliminate programs, services, and staffing.
Locally, the Lakehead Public School Board has been dealing with the work to rule campaign by its 150 CUPE employees.
The local workers affected are custodians, maintenance, and cafeteria staff.
The Union has also sent an invite to the province and the Council of Trustees Association to return to the bargaining table on Friday.
