COVID-19 Reported In Sioux Lookout & Dryden

The Lac Seul Emergency Control Group is reporting a case of COVID-19 in Sioux Lookout.

The First Nation has issued a community notice on its official web page.

The Northwestern Health Unit has yet to confirm the report.

Officials in Lac Seul have now closed the community to outside visitors and is urging everyone to stay home as much as possible.

All band offices will be closed and non-essential staff will be working from home.

The Northwestern Health Unit has been notified of 2 positive cases of COVID-19. One case in Dryden and one in Sioux Lookout. They say they are currently doing follow-up as per protocols, including the identification and quarantine of any contacts.
