City Council is getting a report on what types of Indigenous relations training staff are receiving.
Mayor Bill Mauro tells us they asked for it since they felt there were several scattered programs were being offered.
“From my perspective, it was just trying to get this all together, for all of us to be aware of what is going on, to ensure we are all going in the same direction. I think this is an initiative that’s worthwhile and that we all support.”
The report on training will be heard at Council on Monday.
Mauro adds they want to make sure that the left-hand knows what the right-hand is doing.
