Commercial driver charged in collision

Ontario Provincial Police have charged a Kaministiqua man in connection to a collision involving a commercial vehicle on Highway 102.

Officers responded just before 3:00 a.m. Tuesday to reports of a suspected impaired driver near Townline Road, where they located the vehicle in the ditch.

An investigation revealed the 34 year old driver had been impaired by alcohol, and was arrested before being taken to hospital by Superior North EMS for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

He faces one count of:

  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs.

The accused has been released from custody and will appear in court on March 5th.
