A Swiss coffee company called MIGROS just released “coffee balls” to replace coffee pods.
As you know, some coffee pods / capsules create thousands of tons of waste around the world every year.
The new concept: they’re spherical capsules, described as “coffee balls”. They’re 100% compostable. They’re inside a flavourless, thin, seaweed-based cover that you throw away after it’s done. AND, you can sleep better at night (not from the coffee, but knowing you’re helping the environment).
We have to wait a bit for these COFFEE BALLS…………as they’re only available in Switzerland and France. Then it’ll be rolled out in Germany next year. Hopefully coming to Canada after that. OR, do you know of any other brands that are environmentally friendly?
