One Lane Open After Fatal 11/17 Collision

Update midnight, Saturday morning:

It appears there’s still only one lane open, letting alternating traffic through on the 11/17 near Sistonen’s Corner.

This is due to a fatal collision between two transport trucks in which 3 people died.

Provincial police have not tweeted when the road will completely re-open, after the crash that happened about 5kms west of Highway 102 late Thursday night.

They add the driver and passenger of the eastbound vehicle died, as did the driver of the westbound truck.

Police say they’re not releasing any names until family members have been notified.
