Confederation College is celebrating the accomplishments of 200 students in its Academic Upgrading program.
24 students received Academic and Career Entrance certificates, which are recognized as a grade 12 equivalent.
Officials say this is the highest number of students to get that certificate in a single year.
Gail Hamilton was one of those students, who returned to finish off her high school education.
She says she was a young mother, and made the choice to return to school after she lost her husband to cancer.
