CO Levels Force Evacuation Of HMCS Griffon

Staff at the HMCS Griffon are back at work after a carbon monoxide scare Wednesday morning.

Lieutenant Commander Michele Tessier says the building was evacuated around 11:30 because of the smell of gas. She says officials determined there was cause for concern since the CO level was slightly higher than normal.

Tessier says the cause turned out to be a loose fitting on a pipe. No one was hurt.
