City’s Yearly Casino Take Is $2.46 M

If you spent some of your entertainment money at the local gambling casino in the the first three months of this year, you have helped to contribute to the city’s latest payment from Ontario Lottery and Gaming.

That amount totals $630,000.

It also makes up some of the $2.46 million which the city has received from OLG since April the first of last year until March 31st of this year.

OLG says the quarterly payments are made under a formula which is based on a graduated scale of gaming revenue that is consistent across all sites in Ontario.

Since 2000 the city has benefited to the tune of $47.7 million.
