City Street Cleaning Underway

With the snow all gone city crews are working on street cleaning operations now to remove a winter’s worth of sand and salt.

Roads Manager Brad Adams explains there are two crews consisting of 10 people each operating on the south and north sides.

He tells us street sweeping began last week, but the temperatures have to stay consistently in the above zero range to allow for water to be used in the process.

Adams indicates it will take about six weeks to complete all the main roads, and then they will start on the less travelled streets, which should be completed by July.
