The city is passing on its condolences to the family of Fort William First Nation Band Councillor Leo Jiggs Bannon Senior.
A letter of condolence from the Mayor and City Council is being sent to Chief Peter Collins to pay respect.
To recognize this significant loss in the Fort William First Nation community, the flags at City Hall and City facilities will fly at half-mast until after the funeral.
Leo Jiggs Bannon Senior was a respected member of Fort William First Nation and served as Band Councillor for several terms over 40 years.
