City Projecting $313K Deficit For Years End

It looks like the city will remain in the red at the end of this fiscal year.

After cutting back a $3.2 million deficit, it’s still $313,000 over budget for wastewater and solid waste.

Infrastructure Manager Kerri Marshall says the city got less money for wastewater than expected this year. She says City Hall is expecting to get that revenue in 2017, and will take that into account for next year’s wastewater budget.

The city is holding public pre-budget deputations at City Hall tonight.
