City Man Worked At ‘Jurassic Park’

A Thunder Bay resident, who is interning with Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, got a behind the scenes look at the Raptors during the NBA finals.

Mateyko Boyer helped control the crowd at Jurrasic Park, the space in front of the ScotiaBank Arena for Raptor fans to gather.

He says the area was divided into different zones even though it looked like everyone was huddled into one massive area.

The Brock University intern also helped direct people inside the arena.

Boyer admitted to being amazed as to how much the city of Toronto was pumped up for the Raptors, from announcements on subway trains to the number of people wearing the team

  • Originally from southern Ontario, Jason found his way here and fell in love with the community and music scene of Thunder Bay over twenty years ago. In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
