City Curious If Bus Service Will Bring Jobs

City Councillor Kristen Oliver is pleased the Ontario Northland Transit Commission is going to be bringing their buses to Thunder Bay.

Oliver tells us not only will it help people from our region travel as far as Ottawa, but it could also mean more local jobs.

“This might be an opportunity to look and see what we can do in terms of economic development expansion, are they going to be requiring new drivers, are there jobs available for the people in our city to accommodate this,” Oliver added.

Starting on April 19th, the bus service will make stops in Thunder Bay six days a week at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital and Lakehead University. It will include both passenger and parcel service.
