Christmas Kettles Need $69K More

It’s not too late to help the Salvation Army raise the final $69,000 for its Christmas Kettle campaign.

The Sally Ann announced this week it was still short of its $220,000 goal.

Major Lori Mitchell tells us money goes towards the programs they offer in the community.

Mitchell tells us this year they’ve seen an increased need for their services.

“The numbers aren’t going down, and for us, larger numbers are not a sign of success.” she points out. “We actually want to work ourselves out of a job.”

Volunteers will be manning kettles at a variety of locations around town right up until Christmas Eve.
