An investigation into an individual possessing child pornography in Shuniah has led to charges.
Officers in the Cyber Crime Unit began investigating in May.
As part of the investigation, a home on Lakeshore Drive was searched on September 4, and multiple electronic devices were seized.
On Tuesday, an arrest was made in connection with the investigation.
As a result, a 70-year-old from Shuniah has been charged with:
- Possession of child pornography
- Accessing child pornography
The accused remains in custody with a future court date.
