Charges laid following robbery investigation in Thunder Bay

A woman accused of robbing a convenience store on more than one occasion is facing charges after being arrested.

The suspect entered a store on Oliver Road on June 24 and stole some merchandise.

At the time, they were confronted by a staff member, and the suspect brandished a weapon and made threats.

An investigation determined the same suspect was involved in a similar incident on June 23.

On Thursday, officers responded to a call for assistance on Windsor Street where the same suspect was located and arrested.

As a result, a 39-year-old is facing two robbery with a weapon charges.

The accused remains in custody with a future court date.
