Chamber Wants Turf Facility Vote Delayed

The Chamber of Commerce wants city council to delay voting on the $33 million indoor turf facility.

President Charla Robinson believes there are several reasons councillors should postpone Monday’s planned ratification.

“We think they should wait until they have confirmation of the project funding from other levels of government. We also think it would be important to have the 2021 budget process completed,” says Robinson.

The chamber president explains her members are very uneasy noting she is hearing “As much as this is a great project there are lots of concerns around the potential tax impact.”
