Chamber Outlines Plan For Election Candidates

As we get closer to the October 22nd election the local Chamber of Commerce has revealed what issues it wants the future Mayor and Council to address.

President Charla Robinson says they came up with ten recommendations that they’ll ask candidates their stances on.

It’s all with the goal, says Robinson, of showing which of the hopefuls have a plan for the future and are willing to be transparent.

She emphasizes the chamber will not be endorsing any candidates, but instead, trying to educate the public on where they stand on the issues.

The chamber president says their biggest priority is improving neighbourhoods, adding they want local organizations to work together to address issues like homelessness.
