Case Count In The District Hits 56

Another day with high COVID-19 numbers in the region.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is reporting 56 new cases today with 376 active cases.

There are three more cases in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre bringing the number in the hospital to 29 of those, nine are in the Intensive Care Unit.

Monday’s numbers fall just shy of the record 60 cases reported last week.

It also is the reason health officials say our district has been forced into lockdown for an indefinite time period and why city school students are learning virtually this week and next week.

In between various stints on radio, television and writing, Jason is a dad, a partner and (some would consider) a zoo keeper (seriously, he has a LOT of pets).
